Az. Agr. Tomezzoli Antonio

Across thirty hectares in Oppeano, on the Verona plain, the Tomezzoli Antonio farm has revived an interrupted rice cultivation, converting the land to grow Riso Nano Vialone Veronese IGP. The management is organic and explicitly regenerative: crops rotate among hedges and wooded strips that restore ecological balance to the field, ensuring that the grain—short, tender, destined for risotto—is born within an agricultural system, not merely from a monoculture. The production choice extends to distribution. Tomezzoli bypasses large-scale distribution, bringing the IGP rice directly to consumers at what they consider a fair price, thus closing the chain between grower and cook. It's a recovery of tradition through contemporary practices, where the regenerative method becomes as much a part of the story as the grain itself.
