In Gambellara, where volcanic soils and breezes descending from the Prealps shape the climate, Az. Agr. Zonin Guido focuses its work on a single denomination: Recioto di Gambellara DOCG. It is the Garganega grape that underpins everything, subjected to appassimento with specialized techniques until the sugar concentrates and the aromas deepen. The result is a sweet wine of marked concentration, in which the mineral drive of the soil stands up to the apricot and honey notes characteristic of the variety. The DOCG area encompasses four municipalities and offers no shortcuts: it requires a minimum of 14% alcohol and an appassimento process that demands space, time, and careful hands. It is an austere denomination, far from easy pleasantness, and the choice to dedicate oneself to it consistently speaks of a deep rootedness in this corner of Veneto.
