Az. Agricola Bettili Cristiana
Pescantina · Province of Verona · Veneto
Cristiana Bettili joined the company in the late 1990s and immediately oriented choices towards organic farming, convinced that quality of life depends on decisions affecting the environment. From Pescantina, at the gates of Valpolicella, she works with two local DOCG wines: Amarone, obtained from Corvina and Rondinella with a minimum of twenty-four months of aging, and Recioto, offered in *passito* (sweet dried grape) and sparkling versions. These are two faces of Veronese *appassimento*—one dry and powerful, the other sweet—which the company unites as a single language. In 2013, this vision expanded to the Friulian Grave with Tenuta Plozner, forty-three entirely planted hectares acquired and converted to organic: a step into a new territory that doubles the commitment to sustainability. The result is a portrait of viticulture that links environmental choice to the very definition of the wine.
