From Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella, the Ferrari family carries on Corte Aleardi with a commitment that spans generations, measured in the selection of vineyards and the care of the harvest. The two denominations of the house, Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella, both DOCG, share the ampelographic base of the Veronese territory: Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, and Rondinella, the grape varieties that define their identity and separate the meditative red from its sweet version. The estate's Amarone ages for at least twenty-four months, the time necessary to build the depth and structure that the denomination requires, while the overall work remains anchored to indigenous grape varieties and a precise cultivation applied to every vineyard. Here, the philosophy is felt more than told: book a visit to the cellar to closely follow the link between local varieties, soil, and aging, and understand why Valpolicella speaks such a recognizable language in Sant'Ambrogio.
