Az. Agricola Falezze di Luca Anselmi

Az. Agricola Falezze di Luca Anselmi has been working for three generations in Illasi, in the Veronese Valpolicella area, with over 85 years of experience in red winemaking. Surrounded by hazelnut and oak woods and ancient vineyards, the winery has specialized in the two DOCG denominations of the district, Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella. Both are born from the appassimento of grapes and are produced here in deliberately limited quantities, following traditional methods and the natural rhythms of the vine: two expressions—one dry, the other sweet—of the same idea of patience. It's a small-scale operation that foregoes large numbers to preserve a family-transmitted way of making wine. From the tasting terrace, the gaze sweeps from the Lessini mountains to the plain, a panorama that reflects the very philosophy of the wine: visitors to Illasi can stop here, glass in hand, and read in the landscape the reasons for these two appassimento reds.
