Az. Agricola Villa Crine di Venturini Giovanni Battista
Pedemonte · Province of Vicenza · Veneto
In Pedemonte, where the estate has been rooted since 1893, Villa Crine crafts two pinnacles of Valpolicella Classica, both DOCG: Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella. The blends remain the traditional ones, built on Corvina, Rondinella, and complementary red grape varieties, following a structure that the area has codified over time. This is a continuity measured in generations rather than individual vintages. The appassimento method is the cornerstone of both: a centuries-old technique that dries the grapes and concentrates aromas and alcohol, pushed to the legal minimums—14% for Amarone, 12% for Recioto. The difference between the two lies in their style, one dry and powerful, the other sweet and velvety, but the hand that guides them is the same, the fruit of over a century of work on the same slope of Valpolicella.
