In Ponte di Piave, nestled between the provinces of Treviso and Venezia, Anna Spinato cultivates a stretch of the Venetian plain marked by a dual guaranteed denomination. Production is structured around two distinct poles: white wines crafted from Tai and red wines obtained from Raboso Piave, an indigenous grape variety known for its robust and tannic character. The Lison DOCG gives voice to the white wines, where Tai translates the mineral soils and continental climate of the area into the bottle. Piave Malanotte DOCG, on the other hand, is a testament to structure: its regulations mandate thirty-six months of aging, a lengthy period necessary to tame the texture of Raboso and build its complexity. Two denominations, two opposing temperaments, rooted in the same border terroir, where the winery remains faithful to local grape varieties rather than international ones. The choice to engage with both typologies speaks of a commitment that embraces the timelines and constraints imposed by the appellations rather than circumventing them, linking its name to two complementary expressions of the same land.
