Azienda Agricola Apuzzo Mattia operates within five protected denominations in Campania, stretching from the Cilento hills to the plains of Paestum. The core focus is twofold. On one side, extra virgin olive oil with the Cilento DOP denomination, ranging in color from green to yellow, with a fruity aroma and the bitter and spicy notes that mark its freshness. On the other, a winemaking production articulated across four appellations—Castel San Lorenzo DOC, Cilento DOC, Paestum IGT, and Colli di Salerno IGT—built around indigenous southern grape varieties, from Aglianico to Piedirosso and Barbera, according to the minimum alcohol thresholds set by the regulations. Bringing together oil and wine in the same area means interpreting the same landscape twice: the olive grove and the vineyard share Cilento's soils and climate, and the farm draws parallel expressions from them, each faithful to the denomination that governs it. It's a compact productive geography, where Cilento recurs as a denomination for both oil and wine.
