Val Tidone IGT

In Rivergaro, on the Piacenza hills that follow the Val Tidone, Guido Capucciati's estate works with a single denomination expressed in multiple styles. The IGT Val Tidone covers nine municipalities and here takes shape in white, red, and sparkling versions, with Malvasia bianca aromatica, Moscato bianco, and Trebbiano romagnolo providing the aromatic profile. Each label respects the minimum alcohol content of 10.5% set by the denomination, a threshold that speaks to the local microclimate's ability to bring the grapes to structure and aroma without forcing. The result is a range that goes from a lively, slightly sparkling sip to a more relaxed interpretation of still whites, always within the confines of a territory that has made drinkability and aromaticity its hallmark. This is hillside viticulture that speaks the language of the Piacenza Apennines, where Malvasia and Moscato remain the names around which the entire production revolves.
