Azienda Agricola Casa Coloni di Santi Luca

In Ziano Piacentino, within the Val Tidone IGT denomination that encompasses nine municipalities in the Piacenza area, Casa Coloni di Santi Luca vinifies the typical grape varieties of this western Emilia strip: Malvasia bianca aromatica, Moscato bianco, and Trebbiano romagnolo. It's a border area, where the Piacenza hills dictate the vocation of the grapes. From these varieties come white, red, and sparkling wines, all crafted within the constraints of the production specifications, starting from a minimum alcohol content of 10.5%. The broad and versatile scope of the denomination allows for a parcel-by-parcel approach: the winery selects grapes according to the specific vocation of each plot, seeking its unique character in each. The result is a range of types that reflects the versatility of the Val Tidone IGT more than a single interpretation, with cellar work aimed at bringing out the intrinsic characteristics of the Piacenza territory, parcel by parcel, without forcing its natural character.
