Azienda Agricola Coffele Alberto

In Castelcerino, above Soave, Azienda Agricola Coffele Alberto manages twenty-five hectares of sunny vineyards and a tastefully restored eighteenth-century farmhouse, the historical core of the business. While Garganega alongside Trebbiano di Soave dominates the hills, it is the red grape varieties—Corvina Veronese, Rondinella, Merlot—that underpin the estate's two denominations: Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG and Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG. These are the two faces of Veronese *appassimento*, the great dry and the great sweet, brought to a minimum of fourteen degrees alcohol and twenty-four months of aging: the same technique, two opposite outcomes in the glass.
