AZIENDA AGRICOLA CUOMO ELIA

In the Salerno area of Cilento, Azienda Agricola Cuomo Elia works across five denominations, moving along two complementary axes. The first is protected designation extra virgin olive oil, with a green-yellow color and a peppery finish; the second is a portfolio of wines ranging from the local DOCs—Castel San Lorenzo and Cilento—to the broader IGT classifications of Colli di Salerno and Paestum, with the same Cilento area also recognized for its olive oil production. In the vineyard, the producer masters black grape varieties—Barbera, Aglianico, Piedirosso—alongside white varieties suited to the Salerno territory, crafting reds, rosés, and whites with minimum alcohol contents between 10% and 11.5%. Each label remains rooted in the local terroir, without stylistic impositions. The ensemble paints a picture of a company that doesn't separate vine and olive tree, but treats them as two facets of the same Cilento agricultural landscape, where milling and winemaking share soils, climate, and a consistent, measured, and recognizable grammar of taste.
