Azienda Agricola del Grillo

In Alcamo, in the province of Trapani, Azienda Agricola del Grillo carries forward three generations of organic farming on deliberately diversified fields. The two Sicilian denominations—Sicilia DOC for wine and Sicilia IGP covering broader production—coexist with a wider agricultural mosaic that does not place the vineyard at the exclusive center of the estate. Among the rows grow the indigenous Nero d'Avola, Frappato, and Nerello Mascalese, while nearby, olive groves of Nocellara del Belìce and Cerasuola, vegetable gardens, and durum wheat fields complete the picture. The red, rosé, and white Sicilia DOC wines, always above twelve percent alcohol, are not born as isolated products but as the voice of an entire agricultural ecosystem. It is a philosophy that views the vine within a whole, where awareness of the territory matters as much as the individual bottle, and where organic farming is not a superficial choice but the logic that holds everything else together.
