Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva DOCGCònero DOCGVerdicchio di Matelica Riserva DOCG+1

In Serra de' Conti, in the province of Ancona, Azienda Agricola di Mattioli Giordano oversees four of the most recognized DOCG denominations in Marche. The Vernaccia nera di Serrapetrona opens two paths, sparkling and red, while the blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese matures for twenty-four months to achieve the depth that distinguishes Cònero. On the white side, two Verdicchio reserves compare two distinct terroirs: the fresher, higher-altitude one of Matelica and the broader, more varied one of Castelli di Jesi. The comparison is instructive, as the same grape variety changes character depending on the climate and soil that nourish it. What unites the four labels are the disciplinary guidelines, with their minimum alcohol content and aging requirements: not a formality, but the framework that ensures each wine achieves its expected physiognomy. The result is a portrait of a winery that interprets the region in its entirety, from structured reds to long-aging whites.
