Azienda Agricola Eredi Tommaso Loreto cultivates Femminello avolese in Avola, the cultivar behind the Limone di Siracusa IGP, along the Ionian coast where the denomination protects ten municipalities in the province. The proximity to the sea and the volcanic soils contribute to the acidity and juiciness that distinguish this citrus fruit with its thin, fragrant peel. The unique aspect of its cultivation lies in its continuous cycle: the tree bears fruit throughout the year, and the estate marks three successive harvests—the Primofiore, the Bianchetto, and the Verdello—each linked to a different season and rind character.
