Azienda Agricola Fenech

On the volcanic slopes of Salina, in the Aeolian archipelago, Azienda Agricola Fenech operates within the microclimate of Malfa, Messina province, refining fermentation techniques passed down on the island for two centuries. The family winery works with two denominations. The first is Malvasia delle Lipari DOC, offered in dry (secca) and passito versions, the sweet and sunny signature of this Mediterranean outpost. The second is Salina IGT, which encompasses red, rosé, and white expressions from vines rooted in the island's mineral soil. This range brings together meditation wines and table wines, two interpretations of the same volcanic soil and windy microclimate. The artisanal continuity, measured in generations rather than vintages, is evident in the coherence between the labels. The estate welcomes visitors by appointment: a stop in Malfa allows one to walk through the vineyards overlooking the sea, understand how salt and wind influence the glass, and taste, at the source, both the Malvasia and the estate's Salina wines.
