AZIENDA AGRICOLA. FRATELLI CORALLUZZO
Montecorvino Pugliano · Province of Salerno · Campania
Since 1976, when the first vineyards were planted in Montecorvino Pugliano, Fratelli Coralluzzo has been working the terroirs of the Salerno hinterland on a double front, oil and wine, for a total of five protected denominations. The olive oil cornerstone is Cilento DOP, an extra virgin with green-yellow hues and a recognizable peppery note; alongside run four wine denominations that cover the entire scale of protection, from DOC Castel San Lorenzo and Cilento to IGT Colli di Salerno and Paestum. Beneath the labels flows a repertoire of local grape varieties: Barbera and Sangiovese in the Castel San Lorenzo versions, Aglianico and Piedirosso in the Cilento ones, grapes that tell the story of the volcanic geology and maritime climate of the internal slopes. It is a catalog designed to embrace multiple registers—the richness of the oil and the structure of the reds—held together by the same landscape. More than a specialization, the Coralluzzo brothers offer a comprehensive interpretation of agricultural Salerno, where the denomination marks the boundary and the grape variety fills the design.
