Asti DOCG

On the ridges of Monastero Bormida, where the Langa Astigiana draws an undulating profile that naturally orientates the rows, Azienda Agricola Giulia Di Adelia Vonini works around a single denomination, Asti DOCG. Moscato bianco and the native aromatic varieties of Piemonte are the raw material for a range that spans from sparkling wine to metodo classico and white wines, all built on aromatic precision rather than the sugary softness expected from the name. Aging follows rigorous protocols, and the alcohol content starts at eleven and a half, thresholds that speak of an approach focused more on definition than on power. The altitude of this portion of the Astigiano — a protected area embracing fifty-one municipalities — imparts a mineral tension to the wines that distinguishes them from sweeter, more expansive interpretations of Moscato. It is an Asti conceived as a terroir wine, where the aromaticity of the vitigno remains at the service of freshness.
