AZIENDA AGRICOLA GORRASI DANIELA
Roccadaspide · Province of Salerno · Campania
In Roccadaspide, in the hilly hinterland of the Salerno area, Daniela Gorrasi's farm brings together two productive worlds of Cilento. On one side, the vine, expressed through four denominations—the two DOCs of Castel San Lorenzo and Cilento, flanked by the IGTs of Paestum and Colli di Salerno—where Barbera, Aglianico, Piedirosso, and Primitivo become white, rosé, and red wines. On the other, the olive tree, with Cilento DOP extra virgin olive oil completing the picture of five protected origins. This is a deliberately broad portfolio, which rejects specialization in favor of embracing the variety of the Campanian landscape. The balances start with moderate alcohol levels, around 10% vol., a sign of wines designed for the table rather than for impact. The coexistence of oil and wine speaks of an ancient way of inhabiting these hills, where the same farm measures the seasons by the different timings of the grape harvest (vendemmia) and olive pressing (molitura). The result is a domestic geography of Cilento taste, interpreted through its most characteristic fruits.
