Azienda Agricola Il Grop

Il Grop is a recent venture: it was founded in 2021 in Cedegolo through the collaboration of siblings Paolo and Giuseppe and their sister-in-law Alessandra. What began as admiration for the valley's winemakers evolved into direct cultivation, first by restoring an abandoned vineyard above the family home, then by acquiring historic plots in Cerveno, including Merlot vines over fifty years old and a younger block of Chardonnay. All production falls under the Valcamonica IGT, a unique denomination that here includes Riesling Renano, Incrocio Manzoni, and Müller Thurgau, among whites, reds, and a passito, always starting from 11.5% alcohol. This is mountain viticulture that favors grape varieties with a Nordic character in a recovery viticulture, where the ampelographic choice speaks more of the climate than local custom.
