AZIENDA AGRICOLA MAFFINI LUIGI

In Giungano, on the volcanic soils of the Cilento area in Salerno, Azienda Agricola Maffini Luigi brings together two supply chains that share the same terroir. The most distinctive is the extra virgin Cilento DOP olive oil, with its green-yellow color and spicy finish, a direct expression of this mineral land. Around it revolve four wine denominations that create a broad spectrum: from the structured reds of Castel San Lorenzo DOC and Cilento DOC to the freer geographies of Colli di Salerno IGT and Paestum IGT. The glass reveals the grape varieties of the Tyrrhenian South—Aglianico for the tannic backbone, Barbera and Piedirosso for more agile textures—interpreted as different readings of the same landscape. The five denominations, four for wine and one for oil, are not a catalog but a way of illustrating how the same soil shapes distinct raw materials. The company opens its doors all year round: a visit allows one to taste oil and wine in sequence, personally verifying the thread that connects the volcanic rock to the cultivating hand.
