AZIENDA AGRICOLA MEROLLA BARTOLOMEO
Merolla Bartolomeo extends along the southern wine-growing belt of Campania, where limestone hills and Mediterranean breezes define the terroir. The five denominations they work with encompass three hundred and three municipalities and bring together two supply chains: wine and olive oil. Cilento DOP sets the local olive oil standard, recognizable by its green-gold hue and peppery finish. On the wine side, the range is distributed among two DOC and two IGT. Castel San Lorenzo DOC focuses on the intense berry notes of Barbera and Sangiovese; alongside it, Cilento DOC broadens the range of local reds and whites. The geographical indications of Paestum and Colli di Salerno complete the picture, exploring the mineral architecture of Aglianico and the coastal salinity of Coda di Volpe. It's a reading by typology rather than by individual labels: on one hand, the oil as Cilento's agricultural signature, and on the other, the wines that translate its limestone soils and proximity to the sea.
