AZIENDA AGRICOLA MONTEVETRANO DI SILVIA IMPARATO
San Cipriano Picentino · Province of Salerno · Campania
In the Monti Picentini Regional Park, in San Cipriano Picentino, Silvia Imparato's estate spans 26 hectares at an altitude of about one hundred meters, on an ancient Bourbon property. The vineyard occupies a ridge encircled by oaks, chestnuts, hazelnuts, and citrus trees, in the shadow of a medieval castle: five vineyard plots and olive groves on a single estate. From this mosaic, Montevetrano draws on five denominations, covering different registers of southern Campania. Cilento DOP yields an extra virgin olive oil with a spicy fruitiness; Cilento DOC brings red and rosé wines built on Aglianico and Piedirosso; Castel San Lorenzo DOC works with blends of Barbera and Sangiovese; while IGT Paestum and Colli di Salerno open up spaces for greater interpretive freedom. Together, they outline a productive geography that encompasses both oil and wine, rigid regulations and experimental margins, reflecting the variety of Picentini terroirs in a single, articulated agricultural project, anchored to the ridge and its vegetation.
