AZIENDA AGRICOLA PAPPALARDO CARMELA

Among the wine and olive-growing hills of the Salernitano, Azienda Agricola Pappalardo Carmela oversees five denominations: four wine-related — DOC Castel San Lorenzo and Cilento, IGT Colli di Salerno and Paestum — and the DOP Cilento reserved for extra virgin olive oil. This range covers both bottle and oil, deeply rooted in the province of Salerno. This territorial breadth is the tool with which the producer interprets volcanic and calcareous soils, alternating the area's native grape varieties: from Aglianico del Cilento, spread across fifty-eight municipalities, to Piedirosso and Primitivo. The DOP Cilento oil completes the picture, closing the circle between vineyard and olive grove in the same territory. The result is a company that thrives on the variety of its origins rather than monoculture, measuring Campanian identity through diverse but contiguous registers, where each denomination adds a nuance to the same agricultural landscape.
