Valcamonica IGT

On the sunny slopes of Edolo, Azienda Agricola Presavalle cultivates mountain vineyards from which the IGT Valcamonica takes shape in three styles: white, red, and passito. The backbone of production rests on Riesling Renano, Incrocio Manzoni, and Müller Thurgau, grape varieties that find suitable altitude and exposure here to express themselves. Each label respects the minimum standards of the denomination, with an alcohol content of 11.5% and above, within an area that the disciplinary extends to twenty-four municipalities. This is viticulture that turns altitude into a resource rather than an obstacle, transforming slopes and exposure into wines that bear the distinct character of the Lombard Apennines. The winery is not open to the public, but its work remains an example of how the Brescia mountains can yield crisp whites and passito wines from a northern-style ampelographic heritage, cultivated where the vine finds its altitudinal limit.
