AZIENDA AGRICOLA SALVATORE MAGNONI
Rutino · Province of Salerno · Campania
Salvatore Magnoni relaunched his estate in Rutino in the early 2000s, restoring vineyards and olive groves on the Cilento hills, just a few kilometers from the sea. The core remains Cilento, present both as a wine DOC and as a DOP: on one side, Aglianico and Piedirosso define the identity of the reds, while on the other, an extra virgin olive oil with a yellowish-green color and a spicy character. Two faces of the same land, united under a single geographical name. Around this axis are arranged the other denominations—Castel San Lorenzo DOC, Paestum IGT, and Colli di Salerno IGT—which extend the scope to various Salerno provinces, with grape varieties chosen according to the aptitude of each terrain. Everything takes shape in a natural cellar, built to accommodate the rhythms of the countryside rather than impose upon it. The estate welcomes visitors: those who arrive can discover, in a single location overlooking Cilento, how five denominations across wine and oil tell the story of a unique territory.
