AZIENDA AGRICOLA SARRAINO GIUSEPPE

In Roccadaspide, in the Salerno area, Azienda Agricola Sarraino Giuseppe brings together five protected denominations that intertwine wine and olive oil in the same corner of Campania. The olive oil side is represented by Cilento DOP, an extra virgin olive oil with a green-yellow hue and a peppery aftertaste; the wine side is articulated across four zones — Cilento DOC, Castel San Lorenzo DOC, Paestum IGT, and Colli di Salerno IGT — covering different styles and altitudes. This plurality of designations allows the producer to move between reds, whites, and rosés without being tied to a single stylistic signature. Grape varieties such as Aglianico, Barbera, and Sangiovese coexist in the vineyard, rooted in a Salernitano terroir that imparts structure and distinctiveness. Olive oil and wine do not run on parallel tracks but describe, each in its own way, the same agricultural geography of Cilento. The result is a compact production profile, where the five denominations function as so many keys to understanding the same landscape.
