In Roccadaspide, in the Cilento area of Salerno, Azienda Agricola Scorziello Luigi navigates between olive oil and wine across five protected denominations. The wines draw from Campania's distinctive grape varieties — Aglianico and Piedirosso for reds, Coda di Volpe for whites — cultivated in the DOC zones of Castel San Lorenzo and Cilento, and in the broader IGT areas of Colli di Salerno and Paestum. Alongside the wines, the extra virgin olive oil carries the Cilento DOP denomination, completing a range that brings together two products from the same landscape. Each label reflects a terroir marked by the limestone of southern Salerno, where Mediterranean conditions — light, ventilation, and temperature excursions — shape the character of both the oils and the wines. In Scorziello's work, the five denominations are not a collection of acronyms but a map of a single territory, interpreted through both the olive grove and the vineyard, where the boundary between classifications matters less than the continuity of the soil that unites them.
