Azienda Agricola Scurria Livio

On the slopes descending towards Lake Lario, in Mandello del Lario, Livio Scurria tends over two hundred olive trees that have formed the foundation of his agricultural activity since 1996. Here, the olive tree grows at an unusual latitude, protected by the lake which tempers the climate, allowing for both an alpine and Mediterranean interpretation. The resulting Laghi Lombardi DOP extra virgin olive oil reflects this Lecco microclimate: low acidity and phenolic density attest to careful harvesting and pressing, attentive to the right moment. The Somana parcel, planted in 2007, now provides olives for oils that precisely capture the intersection between the Alps and the Mediterranean. The farm is a diligent place, where varietal study and experimentation coexist with the goal of extracting a high-profile oil from olive trees rooted in the Lombard terroir.
