AZIENDA AGRICOLA SILVA PLANTARIUM DI DONNABELLA MARIO

Silva Plantarium, Donnabella Mario's company, operates in Cilento and the Salerno area, in Campania, spanning five denominations of varying scope. There are the more circumscribed DOCs, Cilento and Castel San Lorenzo, the broader IGTs of Colli di Salerno and Paestum, and the DOP that also bears the name Cilento. The range is built upon local grape varieties: reds from Aglianico and Sangiovese, whites from Coda di Volpe, with rosés completing the selection. Each wine adheres to alcohol levels calibrated to the terroir, from 11.5% for the structured Castel San Lorenzo to 10% for the extensive Colli di Salerno. It's a portfolio that plays on geographical scale, alternating narrow designations with broad areas, and bringing together diverse pedoclimatic profiles without sacrificing the specificity of each denomination. Silva Plantarium thus tells the story of a plural southern Campania, where five different recognitions coexist in a production distributed across varied soils and exposures.
