Azienda Agricola TOR DE FALCHI

In Puglia, on the Central Murgia plateau, Azienda Agricola Tor de Falchi operates within the Castel del Monte perimeter, where three DOCG denominations govern its entire production. The cornerstone grape variety is Nero di Troia, flanked by Bombino Nero; from these grapes come reds and rosés crafted according to the timelines imposed by the regulations—at least twenty-four months for the Riserva wines, which reach 13% alcohol, and shorter times for the rosato. The area is compact, just ten municipalities, and each vintage bears its mark: the Murgian altitude, the rigor of controlled production, the choice of two long-aged red expressions and a more immediate rosato version. Three denominations that, read together, paint a coherent portrait of the indigenous Apulian grape variety, balancing concentration and freshness. The winery is not open to visitors, but the wines are sufficient to convey the essence of this plateau and its inland climate.
