AZIENDA AGRICOLALA PIPPO GRECO DI BOTTI CARMELA

On the Cilento coast near Agropoli, Azienda Agricola Pippo Greco di Botti Carmela cultivates both olives and vines, driven by the Mediterranean climate. They oversee five denominations: four wine-related—from reds based on Aglianico del Cilento DOC to the lighter wines of Paestum IGT, passing through Castel San Lorenzo DOC and Colli di Salerno IGT—plus Cilento DOP extra virgin olive oil, with its herbaceous aromas and spicy notes. This range covers diverse styles, and its breadth is no accident: each grape variety is matched to its microclimate, from the darker soils of inland Cilento to the gentle slopes of the Colli di Salerno. The same meticulous care governs the olive grove, where the DOP defines the fruit's profile. The Salernitano region appears here in all its variety, interpreted by a producer who arranges their labels like a map of the territory, pairing each crop with the soil that best supports it and reading the coast and interior as a single mosaic.
