Azienda Bea (Merenda con Corvi)

On the steep slopes of Monteoliveto, above Pinerolo, Azienda Bea has been cultivating wine since 1999, at an altitude of 420 meters with south-facing exposures. Their area of operation is a single denomination, Pinerolese DOC, which unites thirty-four municipalities at the foot of the Alps and thrives on grape varieties rooted in the local repertoire. Barbera, Bonarda, and Nebbiolo make up the range, reinterpreted here in a contemporary rather than nostalgic key. The altitude and steepness necessitate careful manual work, which the company integrates into a broader vision of the territory: the meticulously restored structure brings together viticulture and architecture, cellar and landscape. The result is a portrait of Pinerolese where wine is not isolated from the place but becomes one of its voices, alongside stone and slope. It is a mountain interpretation, measured by exposure and altitude, where the regional denomination finds a personal and clear reading, far from the anonymous production of the valley floor.
