Azienda Vinicola Mocavero—a name whose Arabic origin links it to 'warriors'—has been working with Negroamaro from Salice Salentino in Arnesano, Lecce, since Pietro took the reins of the winery in 1950. Today, his sons Francesco and Marco continue the management, personally overseeing every step: grape selection, vinification, aging, and bottling remain under direct control. From this single denomination emerge reds and rosés that tell the story of Salento, where the Ionian climate yields wines with mineral definition and structured tannins. It's a family-scale production with a measured approach, where control over the entire supply chain is valued more than quantity.
