Azienda vitivinicola La Tordela soc. agricola s.s.

In Torre de' Roveri, La Tordela extends twenty-four hectares of vineyards around a sixteenth-century manor house, later renovated in the late eighteenth century, with documentation dating back to 1790. The present coexists with that date: mechanized harvesting and traditional aging proceed hand in hand, with Allier oak barriques and twenty-hectoliter barrels alongside stainless steel tanks. The work focuses primarily on the `Valcalepio DOC`, while the second denomination, `Terre del Colleoni`, completes the picture of this Bergamo area. From `Merlot`, `Cabernet Sauvignon`, and `Franconia` come whites, reds, and Riservas with a minimum aging of twelve months, in a range that reflects the cellar's mixed equipment more than a single stylistic school. The manor house is not just a backdrop: the company's identity revolves around it, and visitors are welcomed for tastings throughout the year. Those passing through the Bergamo hills can thus experience, glass in hand, the encounter between the year 1790 and contemporary steel.
