Founded in 2000 by Pier Paolo Grasso in Neive, the winery focuses its work on the most demanding expressions of `Nebbiolo` from the Langhe. `Barbaresco` and `Barolo` form the heart of the range, distinguished by prolonged aging—twenty-six months for the former, thirty-eight for the latter—designed to bring out structure, tannins, and aromatic complexity over time. It is an approach that rejects shortcuts and entrusts the definition of character to wood and patience. Alongside `Nebbiolo`, `Dolcetto` tells the other soul of the territory through two complementary denominations: `Diano d'Alba`, confined to a single municipality, and `Dogliani`, which extends over twenty-one. Two interpretations of the same variety, from the precision of a single municipality to the breadth of a wider area, reveal the versatility of a grape often relegated to a minor role. Visitors to the Neive cellar can closely follow this dual register, comparing the longevity of `Nebbiolo` reds with the immediacy of `Dolcetto` right where they are born.
