Bacco del Monte

On the hills of Vicchio, at the gates of Florence, Bacco del Monte was founded in the late 1970s as a family business, when Sergio primarily made wine for his dearest friends. From that intimate origin, a multi-generational activity has grown, now led by Enrico and Silvia, who are attentive to the rhythms of the land but not afraid to experiment, in a corner of the Florentine countryside where vines coexist with woods and olive groves. The clearest turning point came between 2016 and 2017, with the planting of two hectares of Pinot Nero alongside the traditional grape varieties. The winery produces wines under the Toscano IGT denomination: from the traditional Sangiovese and Trebbiano to new expressions from Pinot Nero, each bottle is seen as a conscious act of stewardship for the territory and continuity between generations. Those passing through Vicchio can stop at the winery and, glass in hand, follow the dialogue between historical Tuscan varieties and this more recent venture.
