Barbaresco DOCGBarolo DOCGDogliani DOCG+1

Based in Clavesana, within the hilly backbone of the Langa, Ballauri Denis organizes its work around two guiding grape varieties, Nebbiolo and Dolcetto, and four DOCG denominations. On one side are the great Nebbiolo reds—Barolo and Barbaresco, the latter requiring a minimum of twenty-six months of aging—and on the other, the more immediate soul of Dolcetto, including Dogliani, which extends over twenty-one municipalities, and Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba. Four distinct areas, read as a single system. This repertoire choice is not accidental: it creates a dialogue between the expansive elegance of Barbaresco and the ready freshness of Dogliani, measuring how the Piedmontese terroir changes its grammar from hill to hill across opposing grape varieties. The portfolio thus becomes a small geography of the Langa, where each denomination marks a precise point on the map. This reveals a deep understanding of how soil and exposure modulate the expression of these noble grape varieties, bringing together the two faces of wine from these lands in a single catalog.
