BARAVALLE Azienda Agricola

Three protected denominations define Baravalle's production perimeter, all deeply rooted in Piedmont's viticultural landscape. The Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato originates from a rare grape variety, cultivated in just seven municipalities and supported in the vineyard by Barbera and Brachetto: a red of circumscribed, almost intimate identity. Further west, the Terre Alfieri area extends across eleven municipalities, entrusting Arneis and Nebbiolo with the task of interpreting the region's cool climate, yielding crisp whites and refined reds. The third voice is the most extensive: Barbera d'Asti spans one hundred and sixty-five municipalities of consolidated vocation, and the minimum four months of aging serve to extract depth from a grape often considered immediate. Read together, these three wines narrate different registers of the same territory—the rarity of the niche grape, the cool excursion of the Alfieri hills, the breadth of the great Barbera. Baravalle keeps them in balance without forcing their character, allowing each denomination to speak in its own measure.
