Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio DOCG

In Torreglia, on the volcanic hills of the Euganean Hills in Padua, Barillari Alfredo cultivates a terroir that few other Venetian landscapes replicate: soils of magmatic origin and a microclimate capable of concentrating aromas. The choice is clear and confined to Moscato giallo and the aromatic white grape varieties permitted in the province, raw materials from which different interpretations of a single denomination are born, never forced towards registers that do not belong to it. The Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio DOCG takes three distinct forms here—still (*fermo*), sparkling (*spumante*), and passito—each measured against the same minimum alcohol threshold of 10.5%. It's an exercise in balance rather than power: the natural sweetness of the grape is supported by the acidity and mineral vein that these ancient slopes impart to the glass. The result is a coherent portrait of the aromatic grape variety, expressed from dry to sweet without ever losing the thread of the territory that generates it, and without succumbing to the ease of mere perfume.
