On the slopes of Farigliano, in the Cuneo area, Roberto and Diego Barroero cultivate the terroirs that have made Piedmont's Nebbiolo and Dolcetto wines classic. Four DOCG denominations comprise their portfolio: the two great Nebbiolo reds—Barolo, with its strict thirty-eight-month aging regimen, and Barbaresco, with a more taut elegance—alongside two Dolcetto expressions, their local Dogliani and Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba, a denomination tied to a single municipality. Each label adheres to the strict rules defining these zones: minimum alcohol content, aging protocols, and resting periods that shape the wine without compromise. The two brothers work within this demanding perimeter, where the discipline of the 'disciplinare' (production specifications) is as crucial as the vineyard itself. The winery is not open for visits, but its range brings together, in a few bottles, the entire grammar of the Langhe: from everyday Dolcetto to Nebbiolo destined for long cellaring.
