Batasiolo S.P.A.

Asti DOCG

Batasiolo works with a single denomination, Asti DOCG, within a broad Piedmontese basin: fifty-one municipalities where Moscato bianco and other aromatic white grape varieties find their ideal terroir. From this base, the winery produces three distinct interpretations: spumante, a Metodo Classico version, and still white wines, each bound by common parameters: a minimum alcohol content of 11.5% and at least one month of aging. The defining characteristic of this producer is methodical rigor. Rather than focusing on the variety of labels, attention is concentrated on the consistency with which the same aromatic raw material is guided through different technical paths, from secondary fermentation to the production of still wine. It's a way of understanding the denomination as a discipline even more than a place: the precision of the parameters becomes the company's signature, and fidelity to the varietal identity of Moscato is the thread that binds together expressions otherwise distant in style and intended use.
