BATASIOLO S.p.A.

La Morra · Province of Cuneo · Piemonte

Barbaresco DOCGBarolo DOCGDogliani DOCG+1

On the ridges of La Morra, in the Cuneo area of Alba, Batasiolo oversees four controlled and guaranteed denominations built upon two grape varieties: Nebbiolo, which yields the most austere reds, and Dolcetto, with a more immediate character. At the pinnacle are Barolo, requiring thirty-eight months of aging and at least 13% vol., and Barbaresco, with its twenty-six months and 12.5%: two expressions of the same grape separated by soil, exposure, and time. Alongside, Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba and Dogliani complete the picture with more approachable wines, each linked to its own specific area — ranging from a single municipality to about twenty — reminding us how the Piedmontese map is made of narrow boundaries. The portfolio, entirely comprised within the four most demanding DOCG wines of the area, combines technical precision and territorial depth, and measures the producer by their ability to adhere to regulations that leave little room for improvisation.
