Baudevin

Baudevin operates within the Roero DOCG, an area of nineteen municipalities in Piedmont distinguished by a structure of three well-defined expressions. The Nebbiolo-based reds, the cornerstone of the denomination, require a minimum of twenty months of aging; alongside them grow the white and sparkling wines from Arneis, supported by complementary regional grape varieties. This triple classification system serves as the framework for the company's work. The producer channels the Roero terroir into wines that respect the 12.5% minimum alcohol content set by the regulations, without forcing any of the three styles. Red, white, and sparkling wines thus reflect the area's commitment to structured aging and varietal authenticity: Nebbiolo seeking depth over time, Arneis playing on freshness and aromatic finesse. In this interpretation, Baudevin acts as a guardian of Roero's stylistic articulation, where the same denomination contains distinct oenological worlds. It is an approach that prioritizes fidelity to the character of each typology over a stylistic signature imposed from above.
