Roero DOCG

In Canale, amidst the sandy hills of the Roero area of Cuneo, Beiva Winery focuses on a single denomination, Roero DOCG, exploring its entire range. Nebbiolo gives body to the flagship red, while Arneis signs the crisp whites and sparkling versions: two indigenous grape varieties that share the same soil and yield opposing interpretations—tannic on one side, aromatic and agile on the other. A minimum aging period of twenty months imposes a slow rhythm on the winery, designed to build structure and balance before market release. This choice aligns the producer with Piedmont's demanding terroir, where Roero encompasses nineteen municipalities in a unique tapestry of sands and marls. The resulting bottles seek discipline rather than ostentation, interpreting the territory without forcing its tones: a coherent portrait of a denomination that coexists with the neighboring Langa while remaining faithful to its own sandy identity.
