From San Damiano d'Asti, Benotti Giuseppe e Figli works with three of the most recognizable denominations of the Asti Piemonte, each linked to a grape variety with a precise identity card. There's Ruchè, aromatic and niche, which finds its chosen territory in Castagnole Monferrato; there's Barbera, the red backbone of the area; and there's the white Arneis, protected by the Terre Alfieri denomination. Their Barbera d'Asti rests for at least four months, a measured time to balance the grape's structure with the mineral character that marks this stretch of hill, spread over an area of one hundred and sixty-five municipalities. It's a portfolio that demands versatility: managing an aromatic red, a full-bodied red, and a fresh white together means interpreting different soils and microclimates without flattening them into a single style.
