Benotti Rosavica
Benotti Rosavica operates within the Roero denomination, which stretches across nineteen municipalities on the left bank of the Tanaro, where sandy and cooler slopes define the character of this part of Piemonte. Here, two grape varieties set the pace: Nebbiolo, which gives structure to the reds, and Arneis, which lends its mineral tension to the whites. The winery concentrates its work on this single DOCG, respecting the minimum twenty months of aging that the regulations impose and allowing the altimetry and sandy soils to define the wines' profile, rather than intervention in the cellar. The contrasts of the territory—sands, exposures, different altitudes—are evident in the glass as clear differences between red and white. The doors are open for visits and tastings: an opportunity to personally verify how a single denomination contains two opposite and complementary souls, one built on the tannic grip of Nebbiolo, the other on the smoothness of Arneis.
