In Santo Stefano Belbo, where Moscato marks the border between Langhe and Monferrato, Beppe Marino Srl has been working with indigenous Piedmontese grape varieties since 1972. The sole denomination, Asti DOCG, becomes here a range of Moscato-based interpretations: delicate still whites, spumante, and metodo classico, each defined by precise vinification rather than a single sweet register. It is the mark of a winery that interprets a familiar grape variety as a subject to be explored, not merely replicated. Since 2016, production has been housed in the Monastero delle Suore del Moscato, a building that adds a dimension of place and continuity to the winemaking.
