Barbaresco DOCGBarolo DOCGDogliani DOCG+1

From Neviglie, in the Langhe hills that slope down towards the Tanaro valley, Bera Valter manages vineyards located on the most suitable slopes. The company's identity was defined in the late 1970s when it abandoned the sale of bulk grapes to pursue conscious winemaking. Today, it produces four DOCG wines: Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba and Dogliani, both from the eponymous grape variety, alongside Barbaresco and Barolo, both made from Nebbiolo. This quartet represents two speeds. The Dolcetto wines offer a more direct pleasure, while the two Nebbiolo wines demand patience and a precise hand, with Barolo requiring almost four years of aging in wood before bottling. It is a hierarchy of time, rather than value, in which the company measures the necessary patience for each wine. The transition from selling grapes to a signature wine in the glass embodies the meaning of a choice made decades ago and never abandoned.
