🏡 Tastings & visitsAmarone della Valpolicella DOCGRecioto della Valpolicella DOCG

Bergamini Silvia is located in a 17th-century rural house, fully restored in Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella, where the original stone construction coexists with modern comforts. From here, the company works with two related denominations, Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG, both crafted from the indigenous Corvina Veronese and Rondinella grapes. The two labels share the raw material and the discipline of the appassimento method, but diverge in their outcome: Amarone tends towards dryness and power, while Recioto retains the sweetness of residual sugar. Together, they showcase the two possible destinies of the same dried grape bunch. It's a diptych that illuminates the grammar of Valpolicella, where the choice to stop or continue fermentation separates two wines born from the same vines. The company welcomes visitors among the rows of vines and for tastings, on a quiet hill nestled between Verona and Lake Garda: it's worth a stop to taste, one after the other, the dry and sweet faces of a single appassimento process.
